Festival House of Tolerance

Since 2015, the House of Tolerance – House of Others Festival has used art to address some of the most urgent questions facing contemporary society: antisemitism, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, hate speech, migration, human rights and our relationship with those whom society labels as different.

The festival was developed in collaboration with Branko Lustig, an Academy Award-winning film producer and survivor of Auschwitz, whose life story provided an important inspiration for its mission. Its film screenings are complemented by theatre performances, concerts, exhibitions, literary evenings, lectures, round-table discussions and educational mornings for young people.

The House of Tolerance is more than the name of a festival. It represents a vision of a society in which difference is not a reason for fear or exclusion, but an opportunity for encounter, understanding and collaboration. All festival events are free of charge.
